More on Digital Projectors
The digital projector also known as the digital projection display system is the computer display system that displays enlarged image on a movie screen. There are two digital projection display system- Liquid crystal display (LCD) and Digital Light Processing.
The LCD panels are the less expensive type that uses three transparent liquid-crystal display panels. The design of LCD is almost similar to that of slide projector where the slide has three LCD panels placed together near the focal point of a projection lens. The LCD Projectors are very efficient with high image resolution and easy to adjust brightness and contrast.
Digital light processing is the latest development in the field of projectors. The technology is developed by Texas Instruments where tiny mirrors instead of transparent panels are used. Each mirror represents a pixel and instead of passing through the panel the light reflects from it. The DLP is the outcome of advanced technology that makes it light weight with high contrast and less pixilation.
The digital projector can be used in a program that helps to view three-dimensional, interactive, full motion audio-visual files on a personal computer.
